Namibia & Botswana Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek (1 Night)


Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival, a representative from NTS will meet you and assist with your car rental handover in Windhoek. Once you’ve received your travel documents and essentials, the rest of the day is yours to unwind and settle in.


What to Do:

  • Check in to your accommodation and take a moment to relax.

  • If you're up for it, explore Windhoek’s bustling town center or pick up supplies.

  • As evening approaches, enjoy a meal at one of the city’s well-known restaurants, sampling local Namibian flavors.

Day 2 & 3: Discover Sossusvlei (2 Nights)


Start the day with breakfast before embarking on a 4-5 hour journey to the breathtaking landscapes of Sossusvlei, nestled in the world’s oldest desert.


On the Road:

  • Enjoy multiple scenic stops as you traverse the Khomas Highlands into the Namib Desert.

  • Capture the stunning changing landscapes as you make your way south.


Things to Experience:

  • Refresh at your lodge pool after the drive.

  • Explore the iconic red dunes, Sesriem Canyon, and fossilized dunes.

  • Join a guided nature drive or take on one of the area’s many hiking trails.

Day 4 & 5: Swakopmund - Coastal Charm (2 Nights)

Bid farewell to the desert as you make your way to Swakopmund on the Skeleton Coast, where cooler ocean breezes and German-inspired architecture await.


En Route:

  • Stop by Solitaire for a famous apple strudel and fresh-baked bread.

  • Consider a detour through the Moon Landscape to see the ancient Welwitschia plants.


Activities in Swakopmund:

  • Explore the coastal town’s vibrant art shops, museums, and galleries.

Day 6: Scenic Drive to Damaraland (1 Night)

Day 7: Enter Etosha National Park (South Gate) (1 Night)
